Radical Acceptance is the process of discovery and acceptance of all of who we are. This paradigm shattering tool means saying yes to those aspects of our self that we deem bad, negative or destructive; saying yes and embracing them all. Doing this leads to greater freedom, self-acceptance and personal responsibility. In radically accepting our self in all of our humanness, we can more fully accept others in their full humanity. This leads to closer relationships: be they intimate, friendship or work.
Radical Acceptance allows a greater acceptance of life in general leading to reduced stress and healthier responses to life's events. It is a powerful tool of self-transformation using the vehicle of acceptance.
Acceptance is not about permission to behave any way I want, but rather, demands responsibility for all of my choices and the consequences of my actions.
